Quick update this evening, spent another day in the workshop with my three favourite ladies - The 155, the Mrs and the GTV - managed to replace the back end and the front shocks, leaving the anti roll bar to the wheel alignment place on wednesday, didn't fancy dropping the subframe too..
Thankfully, a few lessons learnt - firstly, check your shocks regularly! My rears had seized, and my fronts had lost their gas - couldn't believe i'd been driving around with it in such a state.
If you're changing rear springs, plan ahead and order replacement spring cups too, mine were almost non existent, as well as missing the bump stops too.
One final thing, when refitting the spring pans, especially with standard springs, you'll have a 'mare of a job to get the bolt to line up again, unless you've properly stripped all the corrosion off the subframe area and greased the life out of the joint! Took me almost an hour of swearing until it slipped into place.
