I've been putting a lot of thought into slimming down my car collection as I'm looking at freeing up some space to get myself a ramp and a few more bits of equipment and I also need to focus more on the long-term projects I've got on, so I'm seriously considering moving the Alfa on.
It's a 1998 S-Reg early Phase 2 3.0 24v V6 Lusso.
Done 112,900 miles with a lot of history including a nicely stamped book and folder full of receipts. The car has never wanted for anything and had three cambelt changes in its life, including one not many miles ago along with a water pump. Feels as tight as a drum with no nasty noises, no squeaks or rattles. Feels like a much younger and lower-mileage car.
Recent rebuild of the Brembos at great expense, fitted a new MAF (genuine Bosch) just over a week ago. Battery is also recent. New wiper motor not long fitted and whilst that was being done I had every last inch of wiring checked over and tested.
Interior is virtually unmarked, none of the usual cracked and split doorcard, virtually unmarked drivers bolster, the leather still smells like new and of typically Italian high-quality.
Bodywork is excellent, the odd very, very minor blemish, plus some stonechips to the front end, which are noticable close up, but don't detract from the overall look of the car. Wheels are in lovely condition. Few minor paint chips, but no kerbing. Avon Tyres all round which can't have covered much more than 1000 miles.
Engine sounds amazing, even by Alfa V6 standards and pulls like a train, gearbox is lovely, clutch is also quite recent.
Has a performance exhaust and filter and a quality stereo, but otherwise all standard.
There are a couple of small jobs to do, but I'll be doing them before it's sold or at least supply the parts to do so if a buyer is interested, but I'll point out everything that needs doing (no big or expensive jobs) and everything that's been done during my ownership.
Was MOT'd last week, so a full MOT. Currently on a SORN, but gets exercised most days on private land.
I'd only sell the car if I got at least £2000 though. Any less than that and I'd rather keep it because as said, I don't need to sell, but talking with my sensible head on, I've got other things to concentrate on and too many toys at the moment.
