I don't see this as too problematical to be honest. The youngest P1s are now 14 years old. If you extend that on for P3s, we should see the GTV supported in ePer until about 2019. The parts commonality between all phases is actually quite good.
The only thing this means is that P1/CF1 parts are no longer available new. But many of them weren't anyway - alloy engine covers, inlet ducting, throttle cable, radiator hoses etc. However, the things that are important - sensors, mechanical items subject to wear ( bearings, CVJs etc ) will still be available - you just need to get the same part from a P2/P3. Use ePer on Fiat Forum to get the P1 part number, check the same part was used with the P2/P3 and order it by part number. Or, check if the part was used on a Fiat, and order from a Fiat dealer instead.
I do agree with the above though. Erasing the Spider completely is odd. The only thing I can think of is that typing a Spider VIN number into the new ePer takes you to the GTV parts list because all the Spider specific stuff ( relating to the hood ) is now out of production. Pud - can you try entering a Spider VIN and see what it does? If it says invalid VIN, Spiders are erased completely and that may be a glitch. If it takes you to the GTV parts list it's just that they're simplifying ePer a bit. That in turn may hint at a new Spider in a few years time.
