Method for getting front cylinder head off
Need the help and guidance of wiser alfa owners than me
The V6 that I have bought needs a new exhaust valve on the front cylinder head, right hand cylinder... I've got the time to do the work myself over the winter, but not the equipment to remove the engine.
I've got as far as removing parts from the top/belt end of the engine so the cylinder head is ready to come off, but it's getting clearer to me that it's physically impossible to remove it because the chassis is in the way?
Does anyone have any bright ideas?
My current options seem to be
- find an ingenious method
- get a garage to do this part, at huge expense(?)
- cut my losses and get out
All my friends are telling me to bolt it back together and sell it to someone else unsuspecting but I'm not that evil, I literally could not do this
Right now I am panicking and going for option number #3
