Thanks everyone for the input - especially Mr Spider
So early Ph1 cars either came with the standard 16" Pepperpot wheels, or 17" Zender Challenge as a [no doubt very expensive] upgrade - with these being the only choice of 'original' wheels?
Are the 284mm brakes you mention the standard TS brakes?
My car currently sits on 16" Teardrop wheels and, being a Ph1 doesn't look 'right', IMO.
My goal was to upgrade the TB front brakes (same as TS) to 305mm V6 Brembo (as they should have been from the outset, IMO), while restoring the car to the original 16" pepperpots.
Shiny rosso red + pepperpots = a nice clean 'unmolested' Ph1
But it seems I will have to sacrifice braking for looks. That said, uprated pads, discs, lines and fluid with the standard setup will be more than sufficient - and cost me a lot less than adding the Brembo calipers and early 3.0 uprights to that list!
Thanks again for helping clear this up.
