I think the compliance info is incorrect. Electrically, the CF2 is very different from the CF1.
In that case, I suspect your pulley is fine.
The thing to do is measure the voltage on the blue phase sensor connector as I described earlier.
BUT, that information changes for CF1.
For CF1 you measure the stabilised 5v supply on pin 1 of the blue connector ( Blue/Yellow wire ) and a good earth.
It is possible to measure the signal from the sensor back to the ECU ( pin 2 of the blue connector ), but you really need an oscilloscope for that.
