Major Handling Improvement

Finally had enough of having to cling onto the steering wheel for dear life rather than controlling it through the bends.

I know there are a few Gtv drivers out there who are skinnier than me, but the gap between me and the seat bolsters felt like a good couple of inches and provided me with no support. Decided to open up the seats and stuff a load of memory foam from an old mattress topper into the inside of bolsters so that I can now sit in the seat and feel the bolsters on either side. Not having to cling on makes a huge difference to handling.

I would show some pics - you'd be pushed to notice the difference, but my bolsters are so badly worn I'm embarrassed to do so until I repair them. Seats are phase 2 tan leather ones.

A easier solution is to eat more pies.

Wave Hello

I started this thread a short while ago:

The other option is to drive more smoothly.

I am an old man but have never had a problem with the seats in the GTV or, latterly, Spider.

I have always assumed I am driving a go-cart - yep uncomfortable at times and, sure it chucks you about a bit but, to me, such driver instability just adds to the overall fun. All you need to do is remain aware and brace yourself before a fast, tight bend - sorted!
