Wave two issus with my nearly alive spider

hi guys i have two problem with my spider, one little one large

1) i cat get the battery out without the alarm going off
the orignal battery dieded so i whipped the battery out of my gtv and poped it into the spider. I had a fiddle and then when i came to take the battery back out again as i need the gtv for work tomorrow, the alarm keeps going off every time i disconnect it. i locked and unlock the car a few times but it still goes off as soon as i take off the connectors. any idea how im going to get the battery out tomoz morning without waking the neighbours

2) i checked the oil again before i started the spider up and it looked greyish? and felt a bit watered down, (could just be me) i thought it probally just me so ran the spider anyway and it sounded a bit tappy. i only ran it for a ten mins but last time i ran the spider for a good half hour and no issues whatso ever, so could water be mixing with oil anywhere other than the head gasket?

cheers Jon

2) well you cant "water down" oil with water, so I think you are imagining it If its sat for a while then the oil will drain from the the top end, it should clear after a little while, but you may need an italian tune-up to get rid of the tapping.

When I changed the cambelt on mine turning the camshafts had obviously pushed a lot of oil out of the tappets so it made a really loud tapping, this didnt go away idling and eventually went when I reversed it down the drive and onto the road.
