Rust proofing the pan springs.
After reading on her the rear pan springs rot badly decided to rust proof them.
raised the rear with trolley jack and block of wood on rear sub-frame and lowered on axle stands also on blocks (had to cut a couple of slots in wood see photo)
the spring pans were very rusty, scraped out as much as pos with srewdriver.
then rust proofed them with black waxoyl. see photos, hopefully that will make em last a bit longer.
ensure you find drain hole, made sure its clear, in photo its got red wire in it.
i was surprised how bad they were. i think what happens is the drain hole gets blocked and then the pan is a water trap encouraging
excessive rust. in future i'm gonna clear the holes every year.
