Ive never solved the brake squealing on my GTA 330mm brakes. These were fully new calipers by the way, 2 years / 15k miles ago. I have Tarox grooved discs (not drilled). First tried Ferodo DS2500; these didnt squeal, they screamed. Unbearable. Swapped them for OEM. Better but still squealed a lot once warmed up. The brakes have been stripped down, cleaned, coppaslipped etc by 2 different Alfa specialists. No joy. Next up was Black Diamond pads. Bizarrely these didnt squeal, hot or cold, for 3 days. Then the squeal came back... Although not quite as bas as before. Next try was Mitsubishi Evo anti squeal shims as recommended by a poster on here - they fit perfectly. This made the squeal change in character - takes longer to get to squealing temparature, can go a few miles and if no heavy braking wont squeal at all. BUT when up to squeaking temp, the squeak is worse....
I have no answers. Next I will I guess (reluctantly) change my sexy Tarox discs. After that, give up?
The REALLY sh*t thing is that my crappy old 300mm originals, which clicked, warped, and generally didnt work very well, never squeaked at all....
