Another Exhaust question

Wanting to put a new stainless on my 2.0 GTV, noticed it has numerous silencers, wanting to make it sound sporty, can I lose some of these silencers? ie middle box and tail pipe only, has anyone done this?

Thanks for any replies.

The train :(

The rear box fell off my last Gtv, it made no difference to the sound....

The current Gtv has a custom stainless exhaust and the 2nd box is certainly smaller than standard and while it the sound it produces is noticeable (especially at 6,000 Rpm ) it is not intrusive. I'd have another one like it in a flash.

I didn't add it so I don't know who made it. I must get underneath the car and give it a closer inspection.

just had my 2.0 GTV and the exhaust tip was all manky and rusty so i wanted a new one. So i brought a second hand powerflow one which only has 2 boxes on it from waynes shop along with a sports cat

nice sound, when i get the GTV back from the garage (another story) i will take a sound recording of it

I have 3 out of 4 silencers removed, and a stainless pipe all the way through. It does sound rather nice.. :mygrin1:
