Suspension thread pitch importance
Currently in the process of renewing the rear suspension on the GTV. I've fitted the ball joint, ARB drop links and new track control arms. Getting the bolts out of the track control arms was very difficult as a few of the bolts had completely seized in the bushing.
I've replaced all of the bolts with ones from a local fasteners company. However, they could not supply any fine thread bolts so I've had to fit coarse thread equivalents instead.
Since reading around a bit it seems that fine thread is more vibration resistant. Should I source new fine thread bolts from the dealer, or will the coarse threaded bolts be fine with new nyloc nuts?
