After a 3 month hunt for a 916 spider and test driving a TS and JTS then getting all your fab advise I am now mainly considering a V6. Mainly due to the reason that im getting the car is that I want something fun a little impractical and I dont do a huge amount of milage so the petrol wont be too bad.
So a couple I have seen have been and gone before getting a chance to look at them but know I have my eyes on a yellow v6 in London and im going down tomorrow to have a look.
I have read all the threads about what to look out for and with my inexperianced mechanical eye excpect that these threads will be perfect for me. And a good read on the train down.

In what I have read am i right in saying that this could need a cam belt change in about 5000 miles?
I havent done a HPI check on it yet, will do that now. Not sure of the age of the car as it is a private reg. Suppose if i do an insurance search then it will come up?
Doesnt sound like he has the master key or the key code. From threads that I have read a lot feel that this isnt needed....am I right?
Anyway just wanted to know what you think...Have you got any words of wisdom (regarding the car)
Quite excited, but need to be rational and not just throw the money at him because it looks pretty
