Cool, sounds like I should remove and reseal the lights and maybe make a new neoprene gasket, where does one pick up neoprene sheet, ebay I guess LOL
No way could i fit in the boot, but my neighbours have kids I could make use of... (im joking) LOL
Alex, you have a spare wheel!? wow... I have the nasty cheap 12v compressor and a tube of some kind of slime... nice...!
We have a shop called Para Rubber, sells rubber seals, strips, foam, and swimming pool stuff (I think the latter is where they make their money as I can't see many people bothering with bits of foam and obscure weatherstrip like I go in there for). Looks like your equivalent is called Clark Rubber. Clark Rubber - Leaders in Foam, Rubber and Swimming Pools
I've had three 164s and I'm actually a little worried now that the light-bar-reseal job might have been on a 164 and not my red Spider I had at the same time - can't remember for certain, bet they're a similar design though.
Yes, both my Spiders came with the space-saver in its nylon bag with poppers that won't pop closed. It's a clever arrangement because the mounting stud is in a keyhole. The day I bought the yellow one, I had to put one suitcase in the boot and one suitcase on the left seat (was on a business trip with equipment, flew down and drove home, 8 hour drive), lifted out the spare wheel and put that behind the seat X1/9-style where it just fits provided you hold it up as you close the door... I pretty much learned from day one that there isn't much room in a Spider
Sounds like someone ticked the box for the optional fix'n'go kit for yours... assuming it's an original compressor! Neighbours with kids, lol, sounds like my life...
