Sider for sale advice

Anyone know about this car R927 CWT . Currently on e bay
It's a red spider for sale from a garage with an engine problem. Am I been daft but couldnt they repair it and make more cash? Or is it just a nail waiting to drain a bank account???Any advice or knowledge of history would be welcome as I try and put a second Alfa on the drive!

I'd say you could replace the engine, as cheap as having repairs done.
If you could get it for a decent price, it might be worth it.. :mygrin1:

GTV twinspark

Roof looks iffy and needs a new drivers seat, GTV ones will fit but are missing the bit that holds the seat belt.
If you are handy with a spanner it would make a decent project, just check the rear suspension for worn bushes and terminally rusty springpans.

Many thanks for your feedback and offers of support, unfortunately I was beaten in the auction. Will keep looking, may have to shell out more cash.

If only they'd fitted a new set of shells when they fixed the cam belt failure

There are some bargains out there, I paid £700 for mine with a year's MOT, FSH, and 3 recorded belt changes at 14k, 36k and 66k.

Two jobs that needed doing, rear screen replacement and n/s window regulator.
