This is a place where we can post pictures of our beloved ph1 cars

I'll start off with my beautiful 2.0 L Spider

I have a 1998 Ph 1 Twin Spark I am slowly bringing back to it's proper condition but it's getting very expensive!! So far I have replaced all the suspension, wishbones, bushes, springs, dampers. Brake discs, pads, flexis, radiator, the list goes on. No serious rust but paint is several different shades of Protea red on bumpers bonnet and bodywork. I have a quote of £2500 for a complete respray but I could buy another car for that! I have a 2005 V6 3.2 Spider as well so available funds have to be split between the two!

OK here's some of mine:

Top left - Blue Thunder and um, another bloke's car
Top right - Blue Thunder and Lucea
Middle left - Blue Thunder just after a clean
Middle right - Blue Thunder and another blue Gtv near my house with. It is a twinnie, with a quad exhaust and a tan interior. It has aprons, which I think, are made by Autodelta. Notice the difference in colour between the two cars.

Bottom "They've both broken down?"

My GTV TS,registered 09/08/96.:)

It needs a bit of TLC but I'm too busy having fun in it to work on it too much at the moment.

I'm guessing the wheels are from a later car, they were on it when I bought it and whilst I wasn't 100% convinced I liked them at first they have grown on me.I did plan on having an Aero spoiler on the back of it,but I am moving away from the idea now though. The orange side repeaters will definitely get binned soon though!.

Mine has a 3 spoke wheel but I thought it must have been added afterwards but maybe not? My chassis ends 4079.
On another note with Ph 1's and apologies for this "Woe is Me" rant but.... I've had Alfas for years yet I had no idea how troublesome a 916 could actually be - although everyone keeps saying its worth it for the driving experience the truth is that I've not actually really driven it properly yet - and even more depressing is the fact that I have so much more to do before I can even think about really seeing what she can do. Front suspension/tracking/steering/tyre issues are ongoing and unlikely to be resolved soon. I've spent a fortune on clutch/gearbox/rear suspension issues and basically I seem to work on the car constantly...The last owner was a cowboy and most of the jobs I do end up hitting a major snag on the way. There is one positive though - the kids got me some awesome Alfa Romeo cufflinks for Fathers Day on Sunday - and they still seem to be intact.
I'll post a pic of mine soon - when I'm speaking to her again!
