Hahaha, you reckon ?

how much do you think you will get for your car really ? not enough I'm thinking,

as the 4C certainly won't be cheap, not for quite a few years anyway

Most on here will need to wait quite some years, like guys had to

before being able to afford a PH1 Spider ?

nice to dream though mate,

hehehe ?

916 gtv 2.0

About time I posted my own gtv up.
Picked it up the end of November last of GTV GAV, who'd owned it for the last four years until a massive hole ripped through the casing. EauRouge kindly sorted me out with a gearbox and I was on my merry way, until I got this mad idea that while gearbox was out, why not do some more work that funds would allow.
Anyway here's the thread of what was done.
http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/repub...-bad-news.html (Got some bad news :()
The work was carried out by Hoarder, a friend of mine who hadn't a clue what he was getting himself in for. Car drives flawlessly however, especially considering it's 18 years old and 144k miles on the clock.

Next up is an upgrade or two the suspension and brakes, I'll probably have to sell the two Siena's to fund some of it though.
And how the car stood last week in the west of ireland having clocked 1k miles in a few days.

For the rust to rome, is it 500 that the car can cost in total, or 500 to buy the car before doing the work?

I came within a decent offer of selling my GTV phase one last summer after I bought a 147. I have since sold the 147 and am using the GTV as a high day and holidays car. So pleased I didn't sell it now and I hope I don't let myself get tempted again.

Fabulous fabulous car

Well have spent the last couple of months adding bits to the spider that I had already got stashed away for a rainy day.
Wheels skirts and wings think I'm heading in the direction of a Motus Spider if one ever existed !
Anyway I'm pleased with the result not to everyone's taste I'm sure.

If I had one I doubt it as it's a noisy bugger Private plate, 40th birthday present so I have no choice.

Hmmm, interesting. They're that similar to standard teles as well. What would you go for Andy?

The normal options. Firstly Sienas. Followed by Teledials or twin 5 spokes. I have seen a v6 like yours but a ph2 with teledials, they look at home they look softer on the eye then the gta teles.

Sienas would be my first choice also due to it being a Ph1. They'd look great against the Sargassi. I think that's the answer. Clutch then cambelt then wheels, deal?

Just been through this thread from the start. There are some lovely looking cars around. Thought I would put up a PIC of mine for the second time today on here . Its a 97 ph1 twinnie.
( I know the tyres need dressing. Some one ( not on here) has already told me off for not doing them
