I think I've got JTS suspension on my 2000 TS spider wtf!
So I ordered Bilstein B6 shocks for my car from Alfisti. They came in...but they're not right, well the car is not right. Read below.
The problem are the front shocks.
Normally all 2.0TS have the anti-roll-bar mounted on the wishbone.
We do not know why on your car the anti-roll-bar is mounted to the shock.
This is really unusual. Normally ONLY the V6 with 24V engine will have mounted the anti-roll-bar to the shocks.
Ok, now you will think, lets take the V6 shocks and I can mount my suspension.
But that will also not fit. The problem is that the 2 screws on the bottom of the shock is different. 2.0TS got a smaller, V6 got a bigger distance.
Clearly this means you will need for your car shocks with the difference from the 2.0TS for the 2 screws down and on the top the variant from the V6 engines. This is really unusual. We know that the cars with JTS engine also have this unusual combination. But never had this problem on a 2.0TS car.
Off course we would take the frontshocks back, but that will not bring new shocks to your car. Maybe your mechanic can arrange to find a solution to mount the anti-roll-bar to the shock.
