...IMO, you're all slightly over reacting.
I've recently sold a 1999 TS Spider, which was also Cat C, for £3195. I did inform the buyer & showed/gave photos of the damage...mainly front bumper & bonnet, I bought the car repaired from a private seller who had a large tax bill to pay.
Cat C is printed on the front of all V5 registration documents for all to see & you are only obliged to inform buyers if asked...they can still see/read it on the V5 though.
I don't know the extent of this car's damage(cosmetic &/or structural?) to become a Cat C but it certainly looks good & you have to admit it's a very good advert.
If it's as good a car as it looks then, IMO, the OP drastically under sold it for £1000.
The classified advert price is £3495 with a 'make an offer' button. Logically somewhere between £2500-£3k is what he's after.
Edit addition: I doubt Ebay will consider it a fraudulent listing, on what grounds?
