The other test you can get done after a compression test is a leak down test. This involves pressurising each cylinder in turn from an air compressor. Between the compressor and the engine is a restrictor with a pressure gauge before and after. The device will give a percentage loss per cylinder and will identify where a compression loss is occurring ( valves, rings, head gasket ). If a cylinder is showing a compression loss, a leak down test is a good way of determining the cause of the loss.
Like others, I suspect your piston rings.
