I know this has probably been done to death, but would just like some frank advice.
Having got a blowing exhaust just in front of the flexi on one side of the exhaust, and inspected the frankly god-awful welding and general state of the downpipes and flexi's from previous jobs, I've decided to just replace the lot, and not just weld up over an already cr@p job.
Considering my current exhaust set up is, standard downpipes, standard cat, MIJ cat-back exhaust, is it worth the extra outlay for equal-length downpipes?
If performance/sound gains aren't a lot (which I'm suspecting won't be with standard cat etc),
is it just worth just getting standard downpipes for cost's sake? Bearing in mind I've gotta fork out for tyres, service, and various other bits on it this month and although I'm not completely strapped for cash, I can't exactly blow all I've got.
Thanks for reading, and sorry I've dragged up a well covered subject.
All help much appreciated.
