Post Road Trip Roof / Screen / Aircon Questions...
Just been on a 1300 mile road trip with the car through Austria and Slovenia. It was epic, but now I have a few questions relating to the roof etc:
First off, apart from EBay, is there anywhere that an OEM / good fitting windbreak can be bought? It wasn't too bad around 65-70mph but up around 80 (where legal!) it was a bit much with the buffeting etc... I assume they do a good job and are worth the money??!
I also recently fitted a new rear screen to the car and it's a pretty decent fit but it is creasing a little in places. Is there anything I can do to help prevent grazing etc as I would like this screen to last as long as possible!
The roof is in OK condition and leak free but it's supposed to be black obviously and in places where it's worn / rubbed over time it's now going white in places. Does anyone know of any products out there that could revive the rood too its black colour??
Finally, the most annoying part of the trip was that the aircon had no effect and in Austria last week it was over 30 degrees!! ar it all switching on OK but it had no effect on the air coming from the vents... Is re-gassing a job that can be tackled by a novice with the correct gas? I know I can get it done for £50 by Alfaworkshop so maybe I add it to the jobs I'd like them to take a look at this summer!
Cheers in advance,
Look forward to some good advice!
