Despite our best efforts to justify it's ownership several factors have finally combined to call time on our GTV ownership.
The Afghan puppy we bought seven months ago is now almost too big to be ferried around in the car if any other passenger is sat in the front seat - we knew he was going to grow and an estate car was always on the cards as we already have two other dogs.
Secondly and possibly more telling is my other half's health has deteriorated to the point where she struggles to get in the GTV and certainly can't drive it any more. This means we go out in the people carrier, she can get in and out of it easily and because it's an automatic she can drive it. We can also get all three dogs in there
So, the GTV is just sitting around not getting used apart from a quick blast once a week to keep the battery topped up.
Practicality has to rule the decision this time, we looked around at a few estate cars today and the trade in offer of £1250 was lower than we hoped but pretty much what we expected if we are honest so that kind of sets the value of the car.
Over the two years we've had it, we'll have lost a fair chunk of money but we will have a lot of happy memories of ownership so that's the positive we are hoping to take away.
I've given somebody on here first refusal at £1250 but if anyone else is interested in a 1999 V6 Lusso (Proteo Red/tan leather) with 89k on the clock drop me a line and I'll give you all of the details. There are plenty of threads/pictures on here discussing the car so feel free to have a browse through.
I want it sold as soon as possible as the tax expires at the end of this month and I don't want to re-tax it so if there are no takers from here, it's off to ebay over the weekend
