Hi, I serviced my 156 GTA throttle body today with carb cleaner - it was covered in dirt! So worth a clean - however now it idles like a bag of rubarb, and ECU warning lights flashing at me - hence I've been all over this forum for last 3 hrs - I have discovered the following:
1) Disconnect battery - leave for 30-45 mins - nothing to do with TB bit, bit will wipe ECU of any current code issues.
2) Reconnect battery. Put key in ignition, and turn to MAR position (ie dash power on, but do not start engine). Leave for a couple of mins, then turn off and leave again.
3) Start car with key, but don't touch accelerator pedal. Leave running 15 mins, then turn off. Walk away and leave for a bit.
4) Come back - get in and drive off - have a good time for a bit, come back and turn off. HAS THIS WORKED?
I'm at stage 1 and will let you know ... ... ...
