GTV -97 2.0 TS wonīt start after winter-sleep?
Iám Per from Sweden and this is my first thread here but this forums seems much more active than the Swedish ones.
My track-day GTV was out in the sun a month ago and got some new oil and other pampering and there where np problems what so ever. Yesterday it was time again for some air, or so I thought, but the battery has gone flat and since I have a charger with starting capabilities this useually isnīt a problem but this time it wonīt fire up!
Everything lights up normally, code-key flashes(tested all my keys(3)), starter turns with good speed but I donīt think that the fuelpump primed the system, atleast now it doesnīt!
A quick look in the owners manual states that the relay should be in the engine compartment, on the bulk-head?(sorry for my English) and that it should be a relay with a 10 amp fuse. There is one that matches this discription but there is no power to that fuse with ignition on, havent tryied it in start since I was alone in the garage.
Some threads states that the fuel-pump-relay for a -97 should be on the shelf besides the battery and there are a few there aswell.
The car is mint, has been in a dry garage for all of itīs life, and all the surfaces on the relays Iīve checked so far looks good!
Is it possible to messure the current route so to speak and where can I find the actual relay? is it in the front or in the rear? should the fuse be "hot" at all times? It sholud be possible, when located, to just feel if it reacts on ignition I think!
cranksensor should not be the culprit and die in this way should it?? ths car was perfect when parked...
//Any suggestions would be great !
Best regards from Sweden, Per
