Thanks for all the info. Got the software on my computer, got the cable sat in my office, just need to introduce them to the car...
My garage man advised me last week that the car would not fail it's MOT on the airbag light, hence my usual laziness kicking in and not trying the reset yet!
MOT was yesterday, airbag light ablazing, noted as an advisory but I passed.
Apparently all the new stuff introduced to the MOT in January (so ABS, airbags, etc etc) is in a "cooling off" period and any car with issues will receive an advisory for now. When it actually becomes a fail he doesn't know, and as he is one of the people the DOT use to assess MOT centres I should think that means the DOT hasn't sorted out what it's up to yet... or some numpties haven't implemented it at the very least.
So airbag panic over and a nice pass certificate was the good news.
The bad news is that the brown germ has decided to pay my car a visit, so the oil cooler, radiator and exhaust will all be in need of replacement sooner rather than later. Cambelt this year too, think I need a pair of stockings and a sawn off...
Still, considering she was built 11 years ago this month I'll let her off as the only bits ever swapped other than standard service items are:
+ some (lots!) trim bits, but they are because I'm a fusspot.
So, has my Alfa had the least amount of "oily" bits changed of any GTV then? Anyone's more "original" ?
