Thanks for comments. I've been monitoring everything
I'd say there are around 200 car for sale at present in varying degree of quality.
The only ones moving are the auction cars starting at 99p and cheap ones upto £800
Spiders - only auction upto £1500
There are a couple of spiders at £1600 that still haven't sold
Apart from those NOTHING of any value has sold and they remain on sale.
Does everyone agree these are rock bottom pricesc?? I'm not sure ? Will another few weeks tell would these spiders be considerably cheaper after summer £500+ ?
Anyone see alfas at the auctions ? I have 2 in Manchester what at values like there ?
........as it's difficult to analyse Ebay's completed listings as classified ads are only shown as 'ended' with the prices in red which normally means unsold but I've recently sold 2 Spiders through Ebay's classifieds. I can't be bothered with auction style listings...they generally only attract 'bargain hunters'. I should know as I've bought loads of cars off Ebay, I've also spent loads of money on them afterwards preparing them for sale.
If you click on the link below it still shows my Autodelta J10 Supercharged Spider, price in red but I sold it for that price & it now lives in Aberdeen, Scotland(the purchaser never came to see it either but trusted my description). I also recently sold a T reg 2.0 Spider for £3195, both cars did take a long time to sell though & I refused many email offers between £2500 to £2800 on the T reg from potential purchasers(chancers) who had not even spoken with me or seen it.
You're better off bidding private sellers who need to sell quickly rather than dealers who are used to waiting for the right customer. There are always bargains to be found but, if I was you, I wouldn't be looking at dealers' stock for them.
Regulars on here should know that I won't be drawn into another price discussion thread, too many heated ones in the past.
But as for 'will Siders be £500+ cheaper after the summer?
' No, I've sold convertibles in December & 4x4s in July.
A decent set of tyres can cost £500, so in my experience you normally get what you pay for.
