Not you Clive. My remark was aimed at Mitch166, who was openly criticising another forum (read back a bit).
All this makes me wonder if it's fair for forums to advertise on other forums. I've always tried to keep nineonesix.eu off this one by locking threads as is my prerogative as Admin at nineonesix. It can be perceived as a bit of a cheek at best and a bit underhand at worse
This certainly hasn't gone the way the OP thought it would!
With respect, I didn't. I said to "dodge the tumble weed" and I stand by that, 916 is usually empty. I wasn't trying to upset anyone with my "throw away" remark but as an admin at 916 (I didn't know that) I can see why it annoyed you and for that I apologise.
I have no reason to do any Alfa forum a disservice, as an Alfisti of 25 years, I would have nothing to gain from that but the fact remains, Gtv owners have no reason to use 916 while AO Gtv tech pages are so popular, you have to give them a reason to want to log in, not just say "It's there, use it"
As for my international comment, what I wanted to convey was, it's nice to have a Alfa web site that has an international feeling to it. Thank you Clive, but I am aware that this interweb thingy is world wide and people from different countries do log in to AO, but it is still a UK forum with mainly UK cars and UK people. Squadra has a different feel, as does the Alfa BB forum which is good.
There is surely room for different forums as long as they offer something different to eachother. Anyway, just my thoughts, best of luck Charlee
