I fitted 17" teledials to my Ph1 TS recently. I had to swap the wheel bolts because the car had been fitted with a set of selespeed alloys (different offset). IIRC you should have 37mm wheel bolts (from bottom of v shape neck); I have 40mm wheel bolts on with no probs now. There was a slight case of rubbing on the plastic wheel arch liner at full lock with the new teledials fitted (225/45/17 tyres) so I removed the front wheels and repaired a couple of the fasteners in the wheel arch - still very light rubbing -but a lot better; I was wondering if a set of shim/spacers would help as it is the inner edge that just catches, 5mm would make the difference I expect so no need for hubcentrics- I bought some cheap ones off ebay but they don't fit correctly.
My car really needs a 4 wheel track I think, it seems to "wander" a little. Before the track I need to make sure that all the bushes up front are up to the job, I have just done the back end but still need some rear shocks I think. Too much to do!!
One last thing - the 17" teledials transform the car IMO; that said and not wanting to put a dampener on things I still think that there is way too much clearance between the wheels and the wheel arches (i.e. when looking at your car from the side); in particular the rear wheels - I mean those arches are massive; maybe I should think about lowering to reduce the gap but then again I've seen some strange attempts at that...
