The best I found for my GTV6 (1999) is with Classic Car Insurance | Cheap Classic Car Insurance Quotes | Classicline Insurance
most other insurers wouldn't insure it on classic as it wasn't yet 15yrs old and quoted me 700 FFS!

Fully Comp: 290.00 + 100 Excess + 60 Glass Excess + Breakdown Cover + Legal Cover + 90 Days EU useage Male, 37yrs with NO NCB being used on this car (second car; starting from zero NCB), Garaged with 3,000 miles p.a. and agreed valuation. Option to pay monthly over x9 mths + Deposit with minimal charge for spreading the cost.

Very helpful staff, much better than the usual call centre jockey

Since this thread's had a bump, probably a good place to mention that Aviva have a 15-weeks-free offer on at the moment. Last year they had a similar deal, and although their actual premium was uncompetitive the discount very nearly made it the cheapest option for me at the time.

Worth a look anyway, you only need to answer about 6 questions on their website to generate a quote.
