GTV V6 engine bay tidy up

Today saw me tackle the engine bay, stupidly did not take any before pics but it was just as you would expect of a 60k mile car, grubby and very badly tarnished alloy fittings.

The front coil pack cover was taken off, rubbed down, painted with Halfords matt metallic red VHT paint and then rubbed back the Alfa Romeo script (time consuming), also painted the four retaining bolts. Really pleased with the end result, looks better than in the photo - it looks a bit blotchy but its just a bit damp

Inlet tracts polished with Autosol, inlet box just given a good rubbing down, needs more work but is a huge improvement on what it was.

Full engine bay given a good clean with Autobrite Jaffa Orange

Next step - interior refresh

Lacquer the front cover after the vht paint, i did that on my old 166 and it looks the nuts! I painted it rubbed back all the fins and lettering and then a few coats of lacquer and it shined so well!
