Made me laugh reading through some of these posts
. Just thought I would add to the mix that we all know that the P1 is the best in the series :P LOL.
GTV the best looking Alfa? no way. Is it great for the money and aged well, hell yeah
Should this thread really read "Is the GTV the best aging Alfa?"
Yes the GTV is a cracking car.
Phase 1 good (I had my first in 1996 but even then I knew it was not complete)
Phase 3 good except the corporate nose and wheels (sorry you Phase 3 lovers)
Phase 2 Perfection (especially the Cup - yes I am biased !!)
It has the looks, the interior and exterior works in perfect harmony and the sensational V6 engine completes the picture.
Modernize it a little with Q2 and perhaps aftermarket dampers and a remap and its a true classic Alfa to age with.
Of other slightly more modern "production" cars I love the Montreal and the 105 Coupe too so my blinkers are hopefully not to bad.
As for more modern the Brera and GT and 159 are good but do not win the prize.
The 8C looks fab but its not a true production.
The 4C also looks strong but lets see it built first.
The Giulietta and Mito are good but is it me that finds the Giulietta front and Mito rear just not perfect ? I think there are two great cars in there somewhere.
So its back to the GTV for being the best for me- both now and to watch it age into the Classic it is, as I age hopefully gracefully.
