New tyres fitted tomorrow

I am getting a new set of tyres for my spider tomorrow, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, size 205/50/16.

Anyone used these on their spider? I currently have the Pirelli P Zero Neros, but too expensive to have the new Pirelli's put on.

I've heard the Eagles handle great, but are a bit noisy. If it's only a bit of noise it doesn't bother me, as there's always some sort of noise with a convertible, but as long as they handle well around corners I'll be happy.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yep! Buy Toyo Proxes T1-s or Vredestein Ultrac instead. Fitted both to my GTV at one tiome or another and they are far superior to the Goodyear Eagles in my opinion.
The Toyos aren't too dear and certainly not noisy. they last pretty well too as long as you don't hammer them!

The GSD3's are "far superior" to the P Zero Neros though, so that's a huge improvement!

Not everything I've heard about the Toyos is good so I couldn't recommend those but I haven't tried them myself.

Re: New tyres fitted tomorrow

I've used Eagle F1's for a few years and they have been excellent. Great grip, not noisy and seem to last for ages.
My old man had Toyo's on his 300BHP Galant VR4 and he didn't rate them. Said they where really noisy and wore out too quickly. He's now gone back to yokohamas.
I suppose its a personnal preference thing?

I used to buy Pzeros, but they didn't last long, and even the tyre place said they didn't last long!!

Just had Avon ZZR fitted, mid-price about 150 for 2 including valves, balancing and tracking on standard 16inch wheels.
