Sad day for GTV...

.. might need to get rid (what's left) of it.
Mrs z. broke down over the weekend, with what seems like a knackered bottom engine. Got it (not her, left her at the side of the road ) recovered to local indy where it looks like it's going to need major engine work/ recon engine as she hasn't been checking the oil.

Apart from divorce (not that we're actually married yet..) what suggestions does anyone have?

Looks like so far
1. To hell with the expense, and spend the cash (new engine, or rebuild, probably as much as the car is worth) ...the wedding plans will have to be cut back somewhat!
2. it (struggling to say the words)
3. Sell it as a non runner for a project car/spares for someone else.

I'm happy for any off the wall suggestions too

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

If I were in your situation (getting married), I would have the car broken. It sucks, but realistically it's a sensible option.

Take the money from the breaking and spend it on yourself whilst on the honeymoon (or put it toward another GTV).

Chin up and all of that.

You could try calling Autolusso and see if they will take it off your hands?

The train :(

Oh mate, that's terrible, as per the link below, I'm just going through the exact problem, so I feel your pain.

Having said that you might want to consider option 4....

Sorry to hear your news, that sucks!!
Option 1 all day, if you have the time n money. I just got rid of my twinnie to Autolusso - had no time to finish as i'm moving house.

If you need a crank - I have a reground crank with new mains, big ends & thrusts sat @ home ready to go!
