This is a common job, worth doing a search on this forum, you'll get some words and pictures.
In principle its quite starightforward but as with all suspension work, the whole area has probably been covered in muck for years so its mostly about how easily things come apart. The hardest part is usually getting the hub etc out of the way to give you access to the shaft. Some peoople have struggled with the Allens holding the shaft onto the gearbox, but some allens keys on quarter/half inch socket drives help a lot.
Without wishing to ruin your whole weekend, while you are messing about down there: wishbone bushes? roll bar drop link? Outer CV? Damper? Not of these are that hard but lots of WD40!
