Vale Spider

It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the passing of my black 916 spider twinny. She was my first Alfa and I loved her dearly.

She leaked water
I couldn't seen anywhere except straight ahead (may have contributed to her demise)
She made a lot of weird noises
She was impractical
She was not very quick

But I loved her.

When i learnt how to drive the twinny and keep the revs up she rewarded me with spirited performance and beautiful handling for a FWD car. I have great memories of taking her for blasts in the Yarra Valley and the Victorian Alpine Region and never letting the revs drop below 3000- awesome drivers car, quite unlike my previous (faster) but more conservative cars. The occasional sunny day, roof down and good road made me forgive any other foibles!

It was a good run and a great introduction to Alfas with all their quirks.

Thinking of getting another one (Alfa that is)
