Drivers seat dips on the left side, how can this be fixed

I recently purchased a Phase 1 GTV, the drivers seat needs some attention as the left side seems to have broken so it is quite uncomfortable on long journeys. I'm concerned that it will completely break soon so wanted some tips on how to repair it or ultimately replace it

Is it a cloth or leather seat?

If you take it out, you must dis-connect the battery and leave it for 45 mins before undoing the air bag connections under the seat, then remove the seat itself. Is the metal frame broken or the rubber foam inside badly worn ?

Remove the seat carefully as above,

Then pull back the leather (the lower side bolsters are held onto a solid wire. Bend back the clips to release this (sorry, not very good description) and you might find the problem after this!!

Sorry thats not very helpful.

I seem to have the same problem with my 156, the drivers seat dips on left and when I try raising the seat it only rises on the right, it's quite handy if I ever need to get out of the passenger door!
Have you managed to remove the seat and fix it yet?
