Talula has sat in the garage feeling sorry for herself for the last year so and i'm thinking its time to get her sorted and back on the road. Before i took her off the road i knew of a few issues:
blowing flexi on downpipe
centre exhaust box is toast
oil leak from somewhere low on drivers side of engine
cambelt change very due
so i've been pricing up bits to get bit by bit until she's ship shape once again and wondered if you lot could help me out with a few queries...
Will get the pair done as not too expensive, seen on here that some people had them from autobits, stainless steel. price for 2 pipes delivered is about £97
seen on buypartsby the pair of pipes (supposedly stainless also) for £76.78 delivered. Is there any difference? people's experience?
Been reading thread after thread and decided to just do the whole back end 14 bushes - ebspares with the black trailing arm bushes are delivered for £196... anywhere reliably better priced? Seems ok to me. And last chance to get your arguments in towards mercedes bushes and part powerflex - Think i've read too many threads and the overload means i can't really think straight and so full powerflex set seems easiest...
Seen lots of similarly priced middle sections on ebay for £65ish - anything wrong with these?
I'll no doubt be more active on here now than the last couple of years and there's all manner of other jobs that need doing but it's gotta be done - i need my pulling car back on the road (just dont tell the mrs that's what its for
) i know values are dropping and petrol is through the roof but the sound and looks just blow that out the water. Oh and i'm firmly in the camp of future classic so plan to keep her for a good few years if i can get her moving at all
