Already reported him to ebay. Needless to say that they use the "data protection act" very cunningly and will not disclose of any action taken against the seller. I.e. they don't want to hurt their business!
I hate the way companies mis-use the data protection act. I shall start quoting the "freedom of information act" soon!
Ebay has really become a free-for-all in terms of bid-shilling, re-listing excuses and fraud (their 60days emails storage is really not going to help, given that you can only start proceeding against a seller after 14 WORKING days)
The seller went on to sell an entire engine including the manifolds, so they have gone.
I could leave negative feedback, but TBH it's not worth it, not going to detract any sales.
Apparently ebay does not allow a reserve if the item is less than 50GBP and the guy (an alfa specialist in the south apparently) had listed it in a strange place.
