Help 98" 916 Spider accelerator prob.

Hi all, just took her out for a blast on one of the last dry evennings, but when I put her away the accelerator pedal lost resistance with no response Before there was no prob. at all , no sticking etc. I"m assuming the cable"s come off / broken ? Checked the top end, still connected so it must be the bottom end ? Is there a "how to " somewhere ? / has any one had the same prob. Thanks in advance PaulH

Or the middle end!

Those fitted with traditional cable have the cable in two halves. Fixed to the bulkhead and underneath the intake plenum is a black box, inside of which is a quadrant ( actually two quadrants - 1 is for the bonnet release ). The first part of the cable goes from the pedal to the quadrant and the second half goes from the other side of the quadrant to the throttle.
