EDIT: Clive, I think he means the last three users have not put many miles on it.
Yes possibly, but it's not how it initially reads...not to me anyway.

Cup #124

Reg number is JQW481.
I moved to LA a few month ago and would love to bring the Alfa here, but it is proving to be very difficult. This car and this TS engine have never been sold in US, so registration is almost impossible

Cup #124 with a face lift

I am interested to find out if my Cup is the only one with a front facelift? The car was originally purchased in Belgium and the front has been upgraded before delivery to the owner.

I, & probably others, hadn't noticed from your pictures in your earlier post #204 that it had a Phase 3 front end.

Have you absolute proof that it was supplied new with this fitted from the factory & not fitted later?

There's no reason why there aren't others out there also but I doubt it, especially factory supplied. Basically it's only the bonnet, front bumper & grill that's different.

Ph.3 didn't exist when CUP were produced ... so I don't think it's factory

Sounds like the dealer did it, not the factory. It's not inconceivable if it had sat on a forecourt long enough for the ph3 to arrive - might have been bending over backward to shift it.

Not when they were produced but as DMC says if it was one of the last unsold perhaps a main dealer did it.

I still think it was retro fitted which is why I asked if alfaromeniac had 'absolute proof that it was supplied new with this fitted from the factory & not fitted later?'.

But that's what he wrote :

It'd be interesting to see if the dealer changed the centre console as well.

I doubt they've changed that, take a look at his interior shot in post #204.

The story from the original owner was that he bought the car in 2003 from an Alfa dealer in Belgium. The facelift GTV was already out. He liked the larger grille so he paid the dealer to replace the front. Everything else (apart from the stereo) is original on this car.

The Phase 3 front is the reason I bought this car. Cup #122 was also for sale in Belgium at that time but I prefered the larger grille.
