Crucifixion or Resurrection?

I've just edited the listing with an interesting update re UK Cup No: 128 & Euro Cup No: 104.

I now have in my possession an original Cup boot badge + RHD centre console with Cup plaque.

Watch this space.

Clive, maybe you could get a company to 're-manuracture' some Cup badges based on the loose one you now have.

I'm already thinking that but it would be a very small market. Probably cost prohibitive.

Don't want to be selling them to anyone, do we?

Why, if it's a red CF3 V6 and got a full Cup kit fitted.....refurbished Teles in the correct colour and even a Cup interior, wouldn't that actually be 'a Cup'?

Only if it says so on the V5 Clive. But it would be as close as you could otherwise get!

It doesn't usually say 'Cup' on the V5, normally you have to check the chassis number on Eper to see 'Cup'.

I'm not saying that it would be a 'genuine' Cup from the factory.....but with genuine badges as well then as you say it would be as close as you could get or EXACTLY the same as a genuine factory one.

Yes, but do be careful when in Bangkok!

An EXACT replica, the only difference would be the chassis number, so IMO it would be a Cup.

I'm probably not going to do it as I don't have a red CF3 V6 or a Cup interior......yet!?

Someone asked me where you'd been lately....I knew you couldn't resist.

On reflection if I did do it, I would market it as 'Total Original Cup Spec' but not a genuine factory supplied Cup.

So if you were to base it on a CF3 would it be a 3.2 V6?

Definitely not one for the purists.

No, I think you're confusing Phase 3 & CF3. All Cups, & the later Phase 2 V6s, are CF3s....it denotes the later engine with multiple cats & slightly different breathers etc etc.

Phase 3 mainly denotes the later nose shape, 3.2 engine(for the V6) & various other small changes like ASC.

Been quoted 10 each..........problem is there's a minimum order of 500 to cover the tooling up costs...............so that's 5k up front for more badges than Cups as Alfa only made a total of 419.

I would have thought they could be laser cut from sheet stainless steel in a small quantity for not too much money.
Alternatively, a guy in the JEC had some V12 badges made by a jeweller by the lost wax process. He had to have a small batch too. I bought one from him for 25 which was ok for something made from unobtainium.

Ad is decidedly short of info. There's a quad on it albeit one of the pipes is skew whiff. Seller doesn't know much about them perhaps ?

Bumper hasn't had a second cut out added so the pipe is forced lower down on the right hand side.

Wifes car for 10 years, lack of info suggests probably doesn't know an awful lot - which could be a good thing if you're after a bargain!
