That will certainly confuse us in the future!

I'll change the listing when you confirm you've collected it & please let us know when you've finished the conversion.

There is no such thing as an official alfa romeo phase 3 cup from the manufacturer alfa romeo.

As a personal thing I think it has down graded the car where has the front spoiler gone?

He's not saying it was an official Ph 3 Cup.

Advance search this thread for his earlier posts where it's already been discussed...page 9 post 204 onwards.

lhd v6 cups are very rare if i read the numbers and are not for sale anywhere.
that is why i want to buy a rhd and convert it to a lhd.
on the dutch forum there is a little discusion about to keep the car most orginal.
some people say, strip the cup and build the parts on a common v6 with the cup no. plate.
my opinion; the cup no. is related to the chasisnr. and "all" i do is switch the steeringwheel to the otherside, containing all the orginal parts as much as possible. or fit new orginal or used cup parts. what do other cup owners think? is my cup less orginal cup after the conversion? it is not mentioned on the cars registration papers if it is a rhd or a lhd ...

does a cup come with an certificate? cup no. related to chasisnr?

"if" i took the orginal parts from from the cup and place them on a regular gtv, will that car be accepted as a cup no. 128?

Yes. Although not actually the Cup number just the fact that it is an original Cup. There is no record of the actual Limited Cup plaque numbers. Clive

That will be the best way possible. Clive

It will still be an original Cup. Clive

No. Clive

No.

I think you're doing the best you can to own a LHD V6 Cup.

Why don,t you leave it origional and save your money I drive in europe with my cup and do not have any issues driving on your side of the road. Also converting to left hand drive would things go back together nicely once you striped out all the right hand bits and refitted the left hand parts.

I agree. I drive a LHD Spider in the UK, with no problems at all. I'd keep it RHD and therefore 'original'.

Having said that, the 916 Alfas were originally configured for LHD markets. The left side floorpan is much more spacious than the right side one. So if you do the conversion I guess you could argue that 128 is just 'going home'

I see that 74 & 86 are for sale on PH. The List describes 86 as a racecar but no evidence of this in the ad, even has its original exhaust (thinks - perhaps that is a sign that it had been removed, stored and recently refitted?)

'racecar' is the owner's AO name.

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...st-anyone.html

Coincidence re the exhaust though.

I ran into, not literally, the owner of CUP 115, Lives near Weston, Crewe. He is unaware of this website so the next time I see it I'll flyer it.
Some of the parts looked a bit faded but all in all, a good example and on private plate too!

i have a question for cup owners.

i recently bought an orginal v6 cup, numbers matching.
as i want to convert it to a lhd my eye catches a differance.
next week i will buy a 2.0 ts cup for parts.
this car has leather inserts in the door on 2 places, upper and lower.
http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-T7VSJ4JO.jpg
my cup has only leather in the upper section, is that also on other cups?
no i have the chance to modify

also if anyone needs any parts let me know ...

All Cups should have the lower leather insert panels as well.

I'd like the Cup boot badge if you'd like to sell it please, also the front vented 1/4 wings?

Clive

I bought a rhd v6 cup, and i busy to build it to a lhd.
To get the best parts i use a regular v6 and a 2.0ts cup for donor.
Cause some of the parts are not available new or to expensive.
The donor cup has a damaged enigine.
