Alan, forgive me for being pedantic but Clive DID start THIS thread. The other thread (an entirely separate one) was started by 66shark and forum members were left unable to edit the list he started once he had left. What Clive did was to take over the LIST, not the thread. In essence he is the original poster of this thread and has the right to close this thread, if he wants.

Moving on...

It is possible for us to just have a list. I can separate the thread. The discussion that is left can then be moved to the General Alfa Discussion lounge. Clive would still have the ability to edit the list, adding new information as and when necessary.

Perhaps this might help to stop this childish bickering and get the lounge back to the friendly place it should be.

I am sorry but you are being pedantic but thats OK
Clive kindly took over the thread as the original person had stopped coming online to Alfa Owner so no further alterations to a listing of the Cups could be made on the first page.

However both threads are more than just lists.
If you read some of the posts it is more than clear.
Its all and everything GTV Cups.

I just can't believe that because someone mentioned Cat C / D and their lower value to other specifically GTV Cups that it is taken as being a list only thread now.

And why seperate a thread that has worked perfectly up until now.
Surely if it is GTV Cup related its easy to keep it all in the same place and easier to find.

Please lets get back to talking about GTV Cups as per the last few years and before the madness set in

Alan

Let's keep it short....please

I'm quite happy for it to carry on as it has been but I was only trying to avoid another long debate regarding Cat C & D write offs. This has been discussed at length in at least two other threads in this 916 GTV/Spider forum...one quite recently. It really isn't a Cup specific topic even if a Cup is a Cat C or D.

Keeping the discussions on here brief helps others find details on Cups.

Non Cup specific & even some Cup specific topics/discussions would be best in separate threads which also helps people search for that topic rather than try & find it lost somewhere in a multi page thread which is primarily for listing Cups & their new owners, IMO.

I agree Clive. The tech lounges were never designed to be discussion lounges, but rather places where technical and vehicle specific information can be quickly accessed. Lengthy discussion threads don't help in that respect. I'll take a look at how disruptive removing non-relevant posts might be.

You seem to have a fixation on me Julie. I didn't start that particular thread and I certainly haven't left - despite your inappropriate and heavily piece of 'objective' recent modding.

I had a 'shark' in my head and typed 'spider'.

Believe me, you are in the furthest possible place from being a fixation, especially after that public (and hence contrary to the rules) pop about moderation

And number 69 still with me here in London A trio of cups would be a fine sight on the motorway methinks!

I wonder what the longest sequential run of Cups we could put together would be?

As you can see from the picture of this racing cup there is no face lift front just the use of the ph3 style alloy.

No 58 found for sale in AROC classifieds

Just spotted in this month's AROC magazine:

No 58, 25,000 miles, Blackpool dialing code.
