Gee this is a tough call.
I've got every receipt, keys(x4), radio and mechanical code(?) all in the original leather purse from the AR dealer.
Every MOT is present from it's first in 2003.
My point being, is that it is really genuine and complete, no bad sides.
It was owned by the commercial manager of a HUGE Ford dealership in Swansea, seems to have been spared no expense at that time.
In 2005 the belt was done - not by AR but by the local Ford dealership's own mechanics, but has NOT been recorded in the service manual. I have receipts for the parts though, and by matching date to MOT certificate I can tell it had 41K miles on the clock when the belt was done.
Today it has 45K miles. So it has done only 4K miles on the current belt - but that's since 2005!
It's been cosseted in a warm garage, under covers with the battery disconnected. Fast asleep.
What a dilemma, do I rip in there and do the work, or enjoy it for a bit first!!
The variator sounds loud on startup so that's an additional reason to roll the sleeves up I guess!
Just seems such a shame to go ripping in there when it may not need it!
Although I do take earlier comments in this thread about 36K or 3 YEARS
