maybe you could share some light on that

JB1350 owns one from new, check his posts on the last 2 pages of my old Gold Cup thread.

Having re read this & searched again I think I was wrong earlier & there are probably only 2 Yellow V6s...both 'imports'. I think his is the one included in the 'On UK Roads' list which I mistakenly mistook for a UK supplied one.

I don't know about Alfa GB trying to charge a premium for the colour...possibly why both were sourced elsewhere, JB1350's only cost 20k new!!!!!!!!

Regarding the resprayed gtv 2ts the link to the picture is no longer available.

But i can confirm it was resprayed by a company called c&n customs and its original colour was grey.

anyone got one or know of where to get a 10mmID high pressure air con pipe that runs off the condensor for my Zoe yellow 2000 lusso spider T-spark? Suggestions gratefully received. Anything done about the group meet yet?

....in here, you're better posting a new thread for your query as it will probably be seen by more members.

Zoe Yellows look fantastic!

There's a Zoe Spider living in the same multi-storey I keep my GTV in (Perth, Canal street).

I'm yet to meet the owner tho.

Sold my Golf!

I bought some expensive paint for my Zoe Yellow Spider the other day
It comes in two parts - a yellow 'groundcoat' and a pearlescent yellow 'basecoat'. Both look the same colour!

I'm going to repaint the hood cover. Will need to remove it and remove the hooking motors first - might try it tomorrow. The paint has just faded with no other problems (and only faded in the area outside the hood) so hopefully it will be easy enough to block sand down the clear with 600-grit wet paper and still have most of the colour left anyway. Getting the pearl sprayed correctly and getting a nice clearcoat on - well, I hope I'm lucky with the three-stage painting...

GTV

still got the "gold cup"

hopefully will take it for a burn accross europe in the summer. must have done about 2 hundred miles in it since owning it. If any one wants it, its for sale for 6600.

clive knows im loosing money on it!!! mind you this was always a passion purchase not a financial investiment.

If you dont drive a GTV every day you forget how much fun they are but how bad some of the less important things are. You all know what I mean. The funny things alfa dont do well which gives the car character. Like if its been raining and the cars been parked you make the mistake of maybe winding the window down for a smoke, you go round the first left hand corner and its like someone throws a bucket of water over your head, and it puts out your cigerrete. but instead of getting anoyed you just chuckle to yourself

clive the car has been great no problems with it at all. your air cleaning of the sun roof drain pipes is still doing the job

I've had mine for nearly five years now. Just done the cambelt and tensioners at its last service. The car's been pretty fantastic despite all the lack of encouragement from 'friends' about buying a 1999 Alfa. Gone through a pair of wheel bearings and a few brake disks. The hood leaks at the passenger side, but only when it's ridiculously heavy (I do live in Scotland though). Handles beautifully on Goodyear Eagle GSD3 tyres (tried others, these definitely work best for me). The boot remote doesn't work without affecting the alarm, so I've disconnected it. The bonnet release has also got water in it and affected the alarm, so that's also disconnected now. Otherwise, the rest of the electrics are sound.

The hood cover is slightly gravelly in texture, which I'm assuming is the lacquer. I also need to have a small scrape on the rear bumper sorted before it gets sold later on in the year - I'll be sad to see it go, but I have another yellow convertible on the driveway and can't justify 2!

Drink makes you think. Food makes you fatk.

Boy the last time I was here it happened to be 2011

I still have my yellow gtv althrough a haven't used it much just of late and I see not many more of the yellow gtv or spider have been added to this thread over the years.

Anyway I thinking of selling my gtv I will stress just thinking at the moment due to I don't use it much anyway if I do I will post some pictures up of the pretty yellow thing

Or I may get back into alfa and begin to enjoy the gtv again I don't know anyway am off to think about my future and alfa do we part or do we stay together
