2.0 gtv

Saved from the scrap yard

Today i finally got to drive my gtv for the 1st time.

I bought it on e-bay in april as a spares & Repairs for 333.well i decided to repair it.

the big ends were banging due to no black stuff in the i trailered it home removed engine & gearbox stripped out bottom end & sure enough big end on no 3 totally missing crank u/s mmmmm what to do next.
so back on trusty ol e-bay where i found a guy in bedford breaking a 146 t spark went over tried it out & we had a deal guy removed engine which i collected next day in my trusty old vito.
now the fun my new engine was an older version with ally rocker cover & inlet manifolds etc also all the sensor plugs were different so i changed everything as my older version is now a later version quite a bit of work though.
monday started to refit & everything went in really well as i took my time & success she fired up car is now taxed/insured/motd & on the road just a little bit of tidying of the paintwork to do but that can wait.
so will soon be looking for next project.
