Spider central locking.

My Spider is only used during the Summe its laid up during the winter. This week ive done loads of jobs to tidy her up ready for this year but the car central locking keeps unlocking itself when i try to lock it.Ive sprayed wd40 etc over the internal lock assembly inside the drivers door to no effect. Are there any known areas of weakness i should be investigating, any comments welcome.

try checking the battery, had a bunch of electrical of late including the petrol cap flicking open all the time, central locking problems and electric aerial not working properly.Took my battery back to halfords last weekend and swapped it for a new one.All the electrical problems have gone and im a happy man.

if both doors keep unlocking regardless of which one you central lock from then it points to either boot switch or bonnet switch open circuit I think.

That happened to me after my locks froze in winter and i had to leave the car open a few times, wd40 sorted mine though.

Will they stay locked if you use the key?

electrical connections behind the door card, if it's stood all winter there would have been some codensation build up . give all the connection a clean, spray with electrical contact cleaner and it will probably be fine.
