Listing's finished & why do you think only a reserve of £3k? It was earlier priced at £5k.
I spy one of your eBay cars has a bootrack on it in the pics (98 V6) - is the rack for sale seperately?
or at least PM me please.
This thread is meant to be about 'Gold Cup' not me selling parts or anything else.
A simple yes / no and a bit of courtesy would have sufficed.
Ill give my money to someone with manners, thanks.
[B]I have manners, I try not to hijack other peoples' threads with unrelated topics/questions & I said please.
Anyway back to Gold Cup, still no mention of any upgrades? Just the paint and sunroof. Dont get me wrong i love GTV's, sexy cars and the V6 is just sublime, but when you get into way above market value territory it really has to do something beyond just a colour.
For that price i'd want to find out it was owned by Tarquini once, or someone famous and with special parts. Seems this Yellow one is standard brakes etc etc.....i'd expect more is all, problem is Clive over sold it which to hos credit he's brilliant at, and now he dosent want the new owner / seller to realise he paid too much for it himself. Thats not bitter or me trying to drive down price of GTV's...its market facts, simple as that.
What a GTV is now in the current market is a stunningly under priced baby super car, but that IS the market, you cant pick a price you think they should be worth if the market cant back it up..... also you in Alfa 147 GTA territory at that price as rare and as exclusive. I just dont think you can beat the market frankly.
Some people on here, & you are one of them, appear to want to keep prices low.
You quote what bargains are to had, & there are some, but you try to ignore how much money has to be spent to turn most of these cars into well sorted examples.
I've said it before, but no one seems to listen, paintwork costs a lot as do cambelts, sports exhausts, suspension work etc etc.
If you all want to buy £2k to £3K cars, spend another £2 to £3k on improvements etc & then sell them for £3k then where's the sense in that?
I'm not going to list Gold Cup's spec anymore, it's still on my website anyway, neither can I be bothered to argue with people who can't see sense.
I would've thought some of you would like your cars to be worth more, which IMO & experience they are, but it seems you prefer them to be absolute bargains & lose money on them.
I'll keep trying to buy these(when I have room) & sell them to people who don't want the hassle of it all, thanks.
Back to Gold Cup....park it next to 3 Cups, or 4 Cups or 130 Cups & it will stand out.
In fact park it in a field of GTVs & it will stand out.
That's why it's worth more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes :
