End of the day. I want rid of the car because Im not using it and its a waste of a grand+ a year to tax, insure, maintain if its not being used.(/QUOTE]
You tried calling my bluff re swapping/exchanging for one of my genuine Cups but I would glady do that to own 'Gold Cup' again, proving that I think it's not only worth more than a Cup but also easier & quicker to sell(unless I decide to keep it this time). I also posted earlier that I would consider buying it back if I sold my Pantera, which never gets used so is a waste of a gorgeous car, then I probably would keep it & put 'C1 GTV' reg on it + a Cup plaque engraved C1 or CGT001?
A genuine Cup would be of no more use to the OP than his current car, & don't say it would be nicer to drive because of the cloth seats because the e/seats are by far the best seats of them all(you sit deeper IN the seat & have more leg room etc), it would even cost more to tax as 'Gold Cup' is only £215pa.
Telling him to take £7500 when it's worth far more is bad advise & just because some others think it's only worth that doesn't make any of you right.....they were just as wrong the last time it was for sale. That's not just my opion but fact.
I'll go back to the symbols/smillies when you stop referring to replicas as they are anything but replicas as they are easily distinguishable from the genuine article!
Love you lots.xxxxxx
Good morning Clive,
Its always enjoyable to have some fun even if I have to REPLICATE my emails to you.
The post originator did say he wanted rid of the car as he is not using it.
Equally he wants the best deal hence the asking price.
To some it may seem ambious in the current market to others its a great car and given its exclusivity well worth the price.
You with your more expert knowledge fall in the latter camp.
I think its a lovely looking car but the market may not at the moment be the best time to sell.
If he needs to sell then eventually he will take the best deal he can.
If he doesn't then he should hold for a better price or consider other options.
Maybe falling in love with another car might make him drive that more and therefore a swop is a worthwhile option.
Guess it all depends on whether you back you judgement that the Gold Cup is so worthwhile to have that you can sell it for approx £10K
If the post originator had another car he might not only enjoy driving it but find it an easier sell. Who knows.
Your the market expert as you keep reminding us.
Oh and you do still have two real Cups for sale as I recall.
Surely a swop if he wanted it would be in your interest and at no increase in car forecourt space to you.
One car in one car out.
Either way its a fantastic looking car and just needs that one special person to buy it at that price.
Just how long do you have to wait for him/her to turn up is the question.
Unless the trade expert comes along and knowing the value snaps it up.
He said in a post he would perhaps (have to) settle for less dosh.
One of your real Cups is I think around his "acceptable "figure and with a trade you could have the Gold Cup back ready to sell and given your remarks probably make a healthy profit for you.
Surely that is not bad advice.
Why not ask him if he wants to do a swop for one of your Cups.
See what he says. You state it would be of no more use to him that the Gold Cup.
Have you asked him ?
Maybe even offer him one of your Cup a Replica Like's as another option if a real Cup is not of interest to him or you don't want to give one of them away for sale/swop !!
Hopefully all this friendly banter is keeping the Gold Cup firmly in the market view so hopefully its going to make it easier to sell.
